Why Powers isn't effective compared to Lightsaber and possible solution

Lightsaber users can lower their FC with crystals/pearls, Power Jedi's can't.

Regen is also the same with any double mastery, perhaps increasing Powers regen ability can be a start.

Lowering Powers ability force cost maybe too complicated in the coding.

IDK, was bored messing with templates and noticed this flaw.

It would be cool to have diversity in the battlefield too.

I agree. The only counter-point I'll add is that powers gets superior DPS in exchange for the force cost nightmare they deal with. To be fair though that DPS only comes from one branch. I think a little more force regeneration or force max stat in the master box could offset the drawbacks a bit and bring it closer to viable.

The most indirect thing that people don’t take into account when coding is some stuff is over thought, some is plain and simple. It just takes the right coder. It could be something as a simple statement “if saber is or is not equipped”, and have that linked to force powers boxes only.

It’s still a lot of work linking all that, however you have to make sure that if saber is equipped or not equipped doesn’t affect other force boxes. It would have a huge impact on both healing and enhancer if not done quite right. You really don’t want to buff those either because then no one would want to carry a saber.

It would also cause a ton on chaos in pve. Balancing is hard, Jedi profession’s very nature is a complex thing.
