MCH + CM?

Hey everyone! Returned to the SWG galaxy not to long ago and was hoping I could get some insight here, don't remember everything from my original swg days & I have yet to see this question answered sooooooo here it is.

My biggest curiosity is, can I make a good mix out of commando and ch? if so, what other trees or profs would be a good compliment to that? I love the CH profession so i'm hoping to find a good combat one to go with it, that will give me the freedom to still solo nightisters/rancors/ jedi grind should I choose to etc etc (Not worried about krayts to be honest, I try to steer clear lol) Would something along these lines be viable and have a decent damage output?

I haven't really ever meddled in creature handler so I am not really too aware what else goes well with a CH, however I can tell you that a CH/Commando will be rather squishy and unable to solo the Nightsisters (assuming you mean something at the level of Axkva Min) or really much else in the high end PvE scene here at Awakening, you will definitely need to dual box/take someone else with you for a defence stacker tank, even then your CH/Commando will probably be a liability more than an asset due to its severe lack of defenses, you would have to constantly be applying dots with your pets and flamer then running around trying to kite it while the dots chip away at it which would realistically need an additional squad leader toon nearby for the added burst run.

My best guess is something like MBrawler/MPikeman/MCH, MPikeman could also be switched out for MSwords if you desire (MBrawler specifically for the intim 2 and warcry 2 to help you tank while your pets apply states and slowly do some dps), or maybe... Brawler 4xx4/Scout 2x2x/MCH/MPikeman/TKA x4x4 for the added defensive nature of the TKA trees instead of intim 2 and warcry 2 from MBrawler...

My MCH/MBrawler/MPikes is able to solo giant krayts. It is a solid tank, the Bull rancor pet does a vicious disease and reduces the resists. It is not the best in the defensive stats, but the aoe kd/dizzy from the pike is nice. also using an NSEL helps with planting more disease on the target.
