There was an entertainer quest line in the classic game called simply "The Theater Manager". It could be started by talking to any of the Theater Manager NPCs. The quest is lengthy, but results in the granting of a song ("Western") or a new dance ("Theatrical"). Completing the quest line required the character to be an Entertainer with either Musicianship IV or Dancing IV, but it could be completed in stages as the character's skills progressed. The quest could be completed twice (once for dance, once for music). Once learned, the ability to perform the song /dance was retained permanently, even if the character was no longer an entertainer.

I have a Master Entertainer, and have tried talking to a couple of different Theater Managers (Theed and Mod Eisley). Both NPCs tell me "Too busy to talk right now. I'm very busy, sorry."

I'm told that at one point in the game, there was only one Theater Manager that would give the quest. Am I talking to the wrong ones? Is this content simply not implemented? Has anyone successfully completed (or even started) the quest on Awakening?

And does one NEED to be a Master Entertainer to get it? I'm a Master ID/Novice Musician and I've been trying to get the quest so I can learn Western. I'm not interested in wasting the xp to level Dance, but I'll need the song Western eventually.

On live I wasn't Master Entertainer when I did it (I was 0444). One of the game guides I read indicated that you had to be at least 0100 or 0010 in order to start the quest series and 0400 or 0040 in order to complete it.

I'm thinking the quest is not implemented on Awakening at all. It looks like it was added to the game with the JTL publish, so it may no be enabled / working.

I know this thread is a little old, but I was able to start this quest in Mos Eisley.

This thread may be old, but has anyone actually gotten the western song or any of the dances?... just went through the music part, and no reward in form of the western song.

Edit:

I did find the solution to it, when I checked the inventory there was a scroll I had to learn, like a schematic sort of, problem fixed.
