Anyone else having trouble with Mounts?

Jinx (my aspiring Pistols/Ranger/CH alt) finally worked his way up 4th skill tree of Creature Handler and earned the "Train Mount" skill and proudly trained and rode a male Kaadu from his datapad all around Theed, and into the wilds of Naboo for the first and hopefully not the last time. As soon as he did a dismount to attack a mission lair, he was never able to get back on... whether he used the /mount command, the radial menu option or double clicking the Kaadu saddle itself (Jinx does center and do a little hopping animation as if he is trying to get on the saddle(maybe he needs a stepladder, he is a little Rodian after all...), but stays under the Kaadu and once he moves it is clear he is not in the saddle as he and the Kaadu move more like the Follow command(independent of each other but eventually catching up to each other...) but the radial menu option changes to the dismount option... so at least the menu thinks he is mounted...

Has anybody else had this problem and is there a fix?... (I've only tried storing and recalling the pet and soft log... neither seemed to change anything)... did a quick search in the Bug Reports and didn't notice anything related...

I'm looking for a mount actually, for the times when my swoop implodes/explodes.

They are fun when they work... but slower than vehicles of course... I'm not 100% positive but I didn't think the ability was in game yet for a CH to transfer a mount to another player (re-deed it)... think the only way non CHers get mounts now is to give a BE pet to a CH who can then train it? but I may be wrong about that... it's been known to happen... off to the Naboo Duck (Kaadu) dealer to recheck the warranty.

I've trained several mounts, both natural and BE, for Guild members. They are good for getting around town and perhaps when hunting. Non-CH chars are limited to level 10 creature pets. Lesser bols, lesser dewbacks, Kaadu and carrion spats are the few I can confirm are level 10. I have had a peculiar glitch where the pet disappears when I dismount. Sometime just waiting they will come back but a soft log does the same without the wait.

I'm CH as well and have the 4th skill tree filled so training them as mounts is no problem, and I can even ride them, usually ONCE... if I get off of them and then try to remount, the mount goes thru the animation like it has been mounted (it slightly crouches down as if bearing your weight), but you the rider basically fall right thru him, and as soon as you move out, you see that the mount is merely following you (default action), but other indicators (like the radial menu now offering Dismount) act like you are mounted and riding...

I haven't had the disappearing pet issue, but since the upgrade there have been instances where if you get too far ahead of your pet say on a vehicle, the pet can sometimes then show up is "flicker mode"... now you see him, now you don't, but they tend to be visible, just flickering on and off at your feet... logging out and back in and recalling the pet usually clears that issue... I know I read about it somewhere in the forums but didn't see any mention of it in the Bug Reports...

This is an older bug and a visual bug. When you mount the pet you are actually mounted even if it visually does not display that fact. You will move faster and cannot use special attacks until dismounted. It is more confusing than anything but you can mount the pet.

The transfer command does work, it is master CH and data pad items can always be traded. You can't redeed the pet, never could, unless that was some late NGE thing.
