LS resist nerf

In the trade forum, a post was made to advertise Tantel Armor with LS resist. Cynar had posted that this was null and void, and would remove this from the database. It is what it is, but I'm disappointed by this.

I have some questions about the mechanics of LS Damage and its effect on armor, such as does it work and how fast does the armor wear?

Does LS resistant armor provide any significant advantage in combat?

This was part of the live game for a very short time and it was too nerfed. Is this to be removed permanently from the game or just on certain items?

Is the dev team simply following the original game as closely as possible or is there another reason for removing this resist?

What about Master Bounty Hunters and their inherent bonus, will these remain?

I made 2 Chestplates with 32% resist and it was expensive. For this type of armor, a "good" number to shoot for is this. It can get better, but not by much. This requires that high end tantel essentially become a niche market with return clientele (especially if this armor gets destroyed quickly). Also, there no reason to make armors like tantel when most people prefer higher resist armor like composite or RIS. It look cool but that's about it.

I only know two things. Cynar was talking about Tantel specifically and that I wouldn't want to play poker against Pwntera.

Tantel LS resist was incorrectly added from SWGEMU (for PreCU). This will not remain. Tantel LS resist came in with the CU. It was done to reduce Jedi capabilities vs other classes (a CU change). Addionally, on Awakening we have stated Jedi are Alpha and we make no bones about that.

So be aware, if you buy or make Tantel armor with LS resists it is a "bug". Do not use it.

There may be other armor yet seen that has the bonuses you seek...You'll have to find that out on your own. This wasn't a nerf, it wasn't supposed to be here at all. Please understand the difference. While we will bring in some items from the CU and NGE doesn't mean they will all be brought in.

So it is bad that there is stuff with LS resists on? I mean it is not like it would be 80% or higher.

Come on really and even to the dev side of the table... you guys has been into that JEDI is not going to be easy at ALL and that with including after the unlock... why are you guys going soft now?

Also it would give people a slightly better chance against LS users being able to sustain a little more damage, besides if grinding jedi you would probably be having the benefit of the previous class you had so if they walk up to you with LS resistant stuff, just two shot them with a rifle or carbine or something, due to absolutely crap other resists.

Either way sorry, but it is just my critics awakening is supposed to be hardmode and even rougher for the alpha class in some ways.

It is amazingly effective. When stacked with the resists from PSGs it provides damage reduction north of 60%. Tack on synthsteak and a melee BH like myself with tk (or fencer depending on the flavor) is nearly untouchable. MSabers/MDef wouldn't hold a candle to a stacker.

This was already explained its not working as intended. Nothing more needs to be said about it. Locking this thread.
