Squad Leader Abilities Effecting themselfs

With the nerf to the SL range and the requirement of them being on the front line I suggest their abilities work on themselfs. They will be sitting ducks without the ability to burst run with their troops.

I have to agree. I'm all for putting SLs into the fray, but they at least need to receive their own mobility buffs, otherwise they'll just fall behind and out of range.

Please quit calling it a nerf. It's not a nerf(or a tumor). It is adjusting it to what it was in live and not this crap the emu has it set to.

It was coded like that on EMU because thats was how it was on live. I think its a great fix action for the live code because an AFK buff bots sitting safe half a planet away really messed with PVP but without retreat working on the SL they will fallout of ranged or be focused first and have no way to escape.

ummm no it wasn't. I played a SL on live. Guess what, when I leveled you had to be close to your group to get the buffs and the xp. I remember camping outside of the Geo Caves to get xp. Had to sit in the right spot or you and your group didn't get them and they needed them badly at first. I played that profession for months, maybe after CU it changed but it was not a planet-wide buff or xp. I don't care what they posted in some scrapbook archive.

Big difference from playing and relying on some old web archive that said it did. I lived it sir, don't tell me it did because apparently you didn't play it in live. Maybe it was supposed to have worked that way, but it didn't happen. Guess what, it ain't happening here either. So i am telling you to stop calling it a nerf. Do you understand plainly enough now?

You do realize you referenced something from EMU to back up the reasoning, right?

Do you know they also set LS defense on Tantel armor?? Which did NOT come in until CU. It was on Test Center at the end of PreCU (while they were testing CU) was out and someone linked the date and the info and they set it on EMU. I have told them over and over it is incorrect but they don't change it.

Seriously, I was around in Pre-CU Live and SL's did NOT work planet-wide. You had to be within range... and I will say this even IF it did, I would fix it. SL should run with the group not be a remote buffbot on the other side of the planet.
