Combat class to complement a Master Ranger

Hi,

I'm looking to start some discussion around which combat class(es) people use with Master Ranger. At the moment I have Master Ranger, TKM and Medic 1xxx, and for harvesting I just AOE the lair and let my harvest droid (with veghash) pick up the resources. It seems to work OK so far

As far as I know, the "creature to-hit" bonus we get applies to ranged weapons only. Are there any that prefer ranged to melee when complementing the Ranger functions?

I use that same build and have zero issues with it to this point. Think it is really just a play style thing. I prefer melee (Tk and swords).

My question to you is how do you work your droid. Do you just have to manually target corpses and click to have them harvest? The auto harvest is not working correct right?

I create a mini solo group with my combat toon, with my ranger as group leader. With a group of two like that, I can get pretty good missions.

When I'm group leader, I set the target to harvest/meat/hide, toggle auto-harvest to True, and it works great.

I believe the key is being the group leader.

Interesting I'll try that. I think I was in a solo grp (and not leader) the couple times I tried autoharvest

I used Rifleman on live and I'm grinding it out again here. I'm considering getting a combat droid to allow me quicker kills but haven't tried it yet.
