Creature Resource survey droids

good morning,

just noticing today how much easier it is to shoot off 5-10 interplanatary survey droids to check resources on every planet on my artisan; than it is to fly to every planet, find the creatures with herbivore/avian/insect meat in my case, buff, kill them, and check the resources. just wondering if there could be an interplanatary survey droid put in for creature resources? maybe break it down between creature food and creature structural in order to boost the economy on the droids a bit. would this take much considering the coding for the regular ISDs is already in place?
