Well the day has finally come.


Based loosely on tukui and Elvui for World Of Warcraft, the idea was to have a single pixel edged bordered and borderless UI.
Based on the work done by Shemploo, I worked originally within the base UI texture file alone. When I started with his and compared it to the shipped original it occured to me exactly how much work Shemploo had done and how much time it took. After hours and hours of work I finally came to what I thought best represented what I was after.

Shown in the picture below is a couple of changes. One, the pixel perfect UI comes with KayLiaah's templates installed. I felt this would be a serious crime to not include them.
Second and most importantly there are two versions. One with Taanab and one without.

If you are a server admin and would like this map modified to suit your server's planet scheme, let me know. I'd be happy to make the custom changes.


Bugs? -
  • None, so far. (community window has weird resize issue with window tab spacing)
Complaints? Yes I am listing tester complaints -
  • Combat Queue is transparent - hard to move/resize
    Chat arrows to cycle chat tabs are transparent - still clickable/hard to move
    Chat tab backgrounds are transparent unless selected
    Background of group members is transparent - hard to move/resize
    World map collapse indicator is bothersome to some people
    New waypoint arrows are too small
    Close window button is too small/not an X/doesnt look like a close window
    Window buttons, like showing your character in inventory seems too small
    Options button panel/wrench icon has black side borders
    The login screen is blue on login and doesn;t keep "my" color - I have no control over that
INSTALLATION

Just extract the zip to your SWGEmu folder.

Note This mod will put folders with some files in the game directory
that will be used by the game. No actual SWG game files will be
overwritten.

UNINSTALLATION

To uninstall the mod:
Remove the files

That looks great. I was just commenting on wanting to be able to see the terrain on my radar. You are doing amazing work. I have no skill in that area.

Release should be soon just went on vacation for 12 days, will be doing some more work. Estimation, probably a few weeks.

Getting ready to do the release. I'm a client dev for another server so I don't spend as much time on the compilation as I used to. When I do release it I will make sure to update :)

Shadowfox, it's awesome that you are helping people bolster their clients but just so you know servers shouldn't be modifying the client. That's why we don't incorporate "changes" directly to the client. There is a ton that could be done and we've discussed it before but it's legally risky and could cause a server to attract attention and get shutdown.

Nothing I release for people is a client executable change. It's all a "mod". Direct file interrupt by placement in the folders as it has been since the days of yore. The ui changes above are all xml edits. As anyone who takes the time to dive into the client files that are inside the .tre's would know.

However, I'm trying to find where I said in this thread anywhere, that I was doing client executable changes for release for people.....

I checked the logs, there were a couple of DDoS attacks recently but cloudflare got most of them.

Got some stuff downloaded mate :) Thanks for checking. Added those 'circle based' maps v2 - very nice. Be even better if or when the minor waypoints are added too. I love those things - like small pile of stones, mysterious skeleton, Dathomir tree :)

I have the modified lightning and lightsabres, as well as sabre trails, and added (although I may have done it before) the character appearance update. Always looking for more stuff to tweak and add :)
