Hello All
What are the maintenance requirements and minimum citizen count while starting a new city on this server specifically?
Thanks to any reply.

Hey, i'll take a crack at this though im new myself. Just dropped a City. The minimum hazard at the beginning is once the City Hall Deed is activated, you have 24 hours to have 10 Citizens declare residence at the city or its gone. I'm not 100% if it's 6 or 10 citizens but i thought it read 10. After that, every week the leveling process happens. So it takes weeks and weeks with making minimums to grow the politican tree/growing city. Google is definitley your friend here, I was able to pull up charted descriptiins with exact minimum requirements.

You know this post was nearly three years ago Marky lad?
However I'll bring you up to speed as you seem to be very interested in politics here.
The requirements for each city level on Awakening however are less than what they were on SOE SWG, as they take into account the lower population. The dev team have said this may be increased eventually closer to the SOE SWG levels.
If you are running your own city, the xp comes in two flavours.
First is a 750xp per week as long as you are the mayor.
Secondly, if at the four (for some reason my head says three) week mark you have had people voting for you during that time, those votes are added up (as long as you remain mayor) and you get 250xp per vote on top of the 750xp for that week.
Even if all your citizens vote for you, it can still take many months to get mPolitician. Then you need to make sure your city can manage to get funding in to keep it.
Shuttle tax, cloning and garage fees add up to this as well as player taxes, but merchant taxes do not go to the city, but stay with the merchants. I understand this is fixed in pub 9. You could run missions all day and just have enough for the city if taxes and such are not setup.
People should realise by now that if they want the convenience of living in a player city, with terminals, banks, shuttle, cloners and garages etc. taxes are needed. There are still some players I have come across in game that find the idea of being taxed in this game odd, and feel the mayor should pay for everything.
So, your city hopefully will grow, you will get more people there too. You do need a gimmick, something to draw them in too.
Good luck!
