Mod to remove the sunguard

I cringe at the thought of needing to wear a sunguard on my jedi....while I have no experience modding it seems to me that a mod to simply "delete" the "appearance" of a piece of clothing so that when you wear its invisible seems like it might be reasonably straight forward to create.

Does anything like this already exist (find it hard to believe I'm the only jedi who doesn't want to wear a sunguard) and if not can anyone maybe start me down the path to doing this myself?

I use a brown turban thing as a "tattered hood" to match my robes at the moment...

Better than a sunguard.
