Only just started farming these guys and I'm getting better at finding the spawns on Yavin, but for the life of me I can't kill more than 1 assassin before I die. The other types are easy to kill, so my question is do only the assassins drop the armor and if they do are there any easy way to kill them. That fire dot does a number on me and leaves my health bar a mess if I happen to kill one before I die.
If the other types drop the armor I can just leave the assassins alone and save myself some trips to the cloner.
Any help would be appreciated.

Engage them at melee range and keep them there. You will avoid the fire dot attacks if you can do that.

Hit me up ingame wiggs,i can help,i am pretty proficient in this.
All types to my knowledge drop the armour (i think i have the biggest collection) But if i was going to say a type then the Guards have given me more then anything else.I did most of my first suit pre fastblast and although melee range is decent enough, picking them off at ranged with FB is key.
Unless its an Assassin then melee and Intim is your friend and they are going to hurt regardless as a MBH your chances aren't going to be very good vs them anyhow.
Maybe 50/50 solo and on crappy dice roll and you're toast.
I will walk you through it and give you a gift to help you as i admire anyone insane enough to do this quest,i literally spent months on this.
Its not for the weak,lesser players are better off grinding a jedi out.

Thanks guys, I never tried staying in melee range. I did run up on the assassin and use intimidate a few times but went back to range using fb. I will definitely hit you up in game and try the melee range out. Is it better to switch to pistols up close or is LLC still better? I just got rid of pistils xxx1 to get more heals but I think I could swap my carb xx2x to get the kd back on pistols.

All four types of blacksun drop armor and her pack parts. Kill them all.

I kill them ranged with a laser carbine. Dizzy/PD and Dizzy/KD to keep em on their back and at 50 plus meters. Fastblast while there are down. Intimidate and eat synthsteak if they get close before i can KD again.

Hunting blacksuns is long and can be disappointing, but the deathwatvh bunker is worse. I have gotten all kinds of loot down there but never seen the liquids or coatings drop. I guess it happens but must be a one in a million chance. Maybe the devs can look at the drop rate and adjust it.

In the last week or so I've finally got some drops, although I did switch to farming them with my alt as he has a better chance of not catching fire. So far I've looted 3 helms, 1 leggings, 1 bracer, 1 bicep for BH armor and injector tank, ducted fan, jet pack base. After so long of not getting anything I have to say I'm very happy with the loot I got in the last week.

Seems like everyone wants a helmet lol I already sold one of the 3, if I get anymore I will definitely try to help the guys out who have asked.
I didn't know they dropped CA an AA haven't got any of them from looting. Its basically the only thing I have done since I mastered BH and got my alt to mswords so I have definitely spent a lot of time driving around yavin lol.
Next step is to find some people who want to go down to the bunker since I only need one more piece for the jetpack and the one the overlord drops. Hopefully people will want to take the trip and help me out.

That's awesome thanks guys I will definitely hit you up in game to go down there. I don't have the stabilizer or alum yet so I I'll need to do the foreman quest. I haven't done any of the caves since live geo NS Warren or dwb so I will definitely need all the help I can get as I remember the DWB being very difficult back then.

Quick question, does the stabilizer always drop from the overlord or is it rng? Other than that part and the alum I believe I have everything to craft it now.

Finally finished, i can now stop paying those ridiculous starport fees and get the hell off Yavin!


To be completely honest I did trade a Bicep for the gloves everything else was looted.

Here are the extras i picked up minus 2 Helms 3 Bracers and 2 Biceps I sold along the way.
