I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but the changes that have been made for this publish will compound with changes coming in 9. We had some stuff we just didn't have time to make our publish 8 deadline we set for ourselves. Robes will be changing to a degree, some BH stuff will change, we will be adding some changes to melee profs. We will be lightly tweaking some accuracies and damage multipliers. Lots of stuff coming to go along with this patch.

Last night I did alot more testing. Concerning saber blocks and misses. First off ranged defense verses weopon accuracy rolls before saber block. Always did, with the force sensitive +20 ranged defense, this becomes a significant factor, especially against a master defender.

First test was against a master defender with xx44 lightsaber. 10 attack samples, done 20 times. Minimum blocked attacks, not counting misses, was 2 and most blocked were 6. Average was about 4 to 5 shots blocked. This is would be tough fight with the increased amount of misses, blocked shots, jedi toughness, and other jedi skills to contend with.

I found no difference between landing hits between fastblast and default attacks which one might conclude, fastblast had its accuracy reduced. Fast blast hits a jedi hard and i would still use it. But I wouldn't rely on it solely. But that's me.

Spray shot, blinds, but doesn't dizzy a master defender. High Ranged defense negates it.

Carbines and pistols hit more often but that's because of higher accuracy. Damage is weak compared to llc.

Knockdown and posture changes, very hard to land against a master defender. I wouldn't waste my time trying unless working in a team.

Torso shot, very interesting special. The burns stack or multiple the effect. First landed burn can be weak or strong. Successive burns intensify the effect. But you really have to commit to torso shot for 3 to 5 minutes to burn down a jedi to their base health stat. Jedi had a base health of 700, didn't burn beyond 699. I think in a bh group, torso shot would be good for support if you can keep it going. Master healer or x4xx healer would negate it though.

I had a real fight to the death with master saber, master defender. Tried three times, first time I died fast. Second time a very long fight and died when I couldn't stand up from a dizzy. Third time i got lucky alot, close to death a couple of times but was able to recover. Jedi ran out of force and could not run away fast enough to get out of range. Accuarcy food is a must, i missed alot and was saber blocked alot. Very hard to put a number on saberblock at master lightsaber. I was being blocked from 50 percent to sometimes 100 percent. Numbers were all over the place.

So next I tried against a master lightsaber, no defender. Minimum blocked were 5 in 10 shots, most were 9 in 10. I'd have to say the average was 6 to 7. Even against a non defender with 20 ranged from FS trees, still would miss now and then.

Spray shot against a non defender was a surprise, I can land dizzy with in 3 to 5 attempts. This is a big difference from before pub 8. Never would that happen. Lands more often the higher the accuracy. Pistols and carbines shine in this one regard. LLC takes a few more trys but it does land.

I discovered other things in my testing, but I'm gonna keep those as trade secrets for the time being.

Update on more tests.

First, I like what the devs did with saber block. It's harder to hit a jedi but not impossible to fight. At times it's like 85 percent and other times less than that. No idea what the number is but jedi block bounty hunters more than before publish 8. With less skill points for jedis, and improved saber block is gonna allow jedis to utilize far more different templates because you can live without master lightsaber.

On to bounty hunter,

Torso shot. Tested it against a master defender as I now understand how it works. Not effective at all. Jedi toughness negates it immensely. Against non defender, takes 3 to 5 minutes of constant application to burn 1000 health.

Lightning cannon single 1 and 2, cone 1and 2; sounds like a flamethrower. Damage with llc single/cone 2 is slightly higher than fastblast but hits single random HAM. I'd say 10 to 15 percent more than fastblast. Fastblast still better to use.

Still doing more testing of other bounty hunter specials attacks. As far as I seen, confusion shot, fire knockdown, underhand shot, eye shot, and bleeding shot work as before. Will test those sometime this weekend more extensively.

I will delay tests I planned this weekend due to the server being down. Time willing, I will take advantage of the small window of time that we have double experience once server returns to stability.

So are there changes to give all temps who have BH an advantages against BH targets? So if i'm a rifleman with BH3000 does it mean my attacks will be more effective vs a bounty target?
