Faction Pets

So, I'm new to this. I have an entertainer who is aligned to a faction. Not a creature handler. From what I've read she should be able to still have faction pets, however when I tried to trade one to her last night I was not able to.

Do I have to be a higher rank in the faction in order to have a faction pet?

I'm don't think you can trade faction pets

Faction Pets (as in the Rebel case: Heavy Weapon Specialists for example) can NOT be traded they have to be bought by the toon that will be using them via Faction Points.

You will need to grind out FP to buy them from a recruiter but in your Ent's case you need to find a smuggler (and a Colonel will get the best FP/Cred exchange rate) to transfer faction to you so that you can then buy them yourself from the recruiter.

When I buy faction for folks it usually 100k credits for 1k faction.

100k credits buys 1250 faction but there is a delegation cost to the person delegating it to another so it ends up pretty close to 100k=1k

That would be MUCH faster than grinding it by taking rebel dance missions, lol
