So im looking to gather my own materials but never tried

So i chose one toon to grind artsian xxx4 and will probably grind merchant eventually. I am looking to gather materials for the shipwright badge as i been reading and told that this will be expensive to buy.

I have never once laid a harvester down and the only thing i know that xxx4 gives me a larger search area?? I also know it takes up one lot out the 10 given to each toon. So what harvester do i need to start harvesting mass amounts for shipwright? Looks like a lot of steel, ore, alum and iron..can i select any low grade of these metals to grind with?

Also i know of that galaxyharvester website..do i just look up on there where to go of whats reported by players?

But really need to know what harvester i need and how do i power it?

You are looking for a Mineral Extractor. Personals will get you the lowest amount, and hold the lowest amount, but the trade off is they are cheaper and take less power.

The Heavy extractors get you the highest amount, and hold the highest amount, and cost the most to maintain and cost the most power.

If you are purely grinding, I would suggest going for the highest concentration of whatever mineral you are looking for and get that. For purely grinding purposes quality does not matter.

You can buy power (wind, solar, radioactive), or you can put down a wind power generator, a solar generator, or a radioactive power generator yourself. If you put them down yourself they only take maintenance.
