The DO exist.

I found one too... all by himself, about 1000+m northwest of Tyrena... there was a spot where the river makes a nice smooth, round bend... he was on the far side of that... was able to kite him (pistols/bleed) away from his spawn point twice... but he would always run back... got him down below half health... 3rd time I tried to bleed/kite him the cursor changed to unattackable... so I pet him on the nose and walked away...

I believe they only spawn on Talus, otherwise there must be something broken if spotted one on corellia O.o

Talus has the Great Sludge Panther, these are Great Plains Stalkers and i have seen an adult too, if i remember correctly when I examined it it was level 51 vs level 25 for the sludge panther. I so want one for my CH.

...whew... thanks jimbo! for those who thought I was going to have to turn in my Ranger Secret Decoder Ring... have faith! (but I actually, for a second thought the same thing crossing the Great Plain Stalker with Great Sludge Panther..., but thanks to PhotoBucket and the [+] zoom feature I could verify that the one I saw was on Corellia by seeing the Coronet waypoint monitor Fashtall's screenie...) No baby or lair nearby for the one I saw out Tyrena way... he was all alone but couldn't be tricked into the kiting game...

Also if i remember correct the plains stalker on Corellia is a rare mob, doesn't spawn in lairs and is always? just a solo spawn no lairs, which in turn make the baby really special. The same as the Naboo swamp stalker, cant remember if it a great swamp stalker but the same idea, solo rare spawns, no lair. The really irritating thing is the first week i was novice CH i came across one on Naboo, tried to tame it and got the "you don't have the skill" message, baahh I will probably never see another baby one again

The Great Plains Stalker is a solo spawn. A few can spawn at each spot, so if you're looking for a baby and find an adult, killing it may yet produce one.

Sludges tend to be near rivers on Talus.
