After Publish 9 releases, what would you like to see Awakening's development put priority on?

Keep it clean, no arguing and don't attack each other. Note that this is just a chance to let the community to chime in on what they would like to see. These numbers don't seal anything 100%. It does give us a chance to see where some of you would like to direct our efforts.

JTL is a whole other game that intergrates with the ground game. It's just too big a project for us to handle. We promise as soon as the emu team has a stable version available you will see it on Awakening.

I voted planets and class updates. There is room for tweaking in all aspects, this is pre CU+ after all. For the details, well there are the seeds of possible hopes for each class in each profession thread. Those can be expanded upon and restarted I reckon (within reason of course)...and like Cynar always says, show the coding!

I voted other. I would like to see some variate in armor. Set up some way to allow the crafting of other armor types with composite stats so not everyone is in composite and that is it.

I went with Other...

Personally, for my play experience pre-CU, the game was at its best when JTL came online. While there could have been small improvements in gameplay, when JTL was live the devs at Sony hit it out of the park. The best space-based game I had ever experienced regarding playability, ease, etc. Coupled with a fantastic game for planet-side folks, SWG-JTL was almost perfect.

So my "other" is for JTL. I wish I had coding skills, I would happily volunteer time to make it happen. As it is, I have a hard time understanding how to create an in-game macro for my UI....

I voted other,If i could have anything that i wanted it would be a BHRS.
Now the practical reason why i voted other.

Other is along the lines of whatever is easiest to code and implement on Awakening.
I will use the planet Tanaab as an example.

Someones already done the work,if it is compatible and doesn't crash our server i would rather see easy to do stuff then a long winded project like my dream BHRS lol.
If there is such a thing as "plug and play" bits of code that is less stress and development i would rather see that come in,better for the devs and good for the players as well.

JTL will not happen until emu releases it. It's too massive a part of the game for our small team to try and tackle. As soon as emu releases a stable form we will implement it here.

I voted for the planet addition (the Taanab mod looks great), but I want so much more. I suppose what might be best and easiest for a fast turnaround would be a mini publish focusing on some profession updates. For example, CH is near and dear to my heart and additional tamable mobs (pharples please...), boosted pet storage capacity, and some MINOR boosts to pet combat stats would go a long way to making me happier. Also a long awaited action buff to twilek Entertainers. Perhaps boost Pikeman toughness a bit. Odds and ends really. The little things we have all wanted for a long time, but never got to see implemented.

I'm kind of torn between class revamps and new planet(s). On one hand I'd really like to see some adjustments to Creature Handler and Bio-Engineer, but on the other a new planet with more content would be great, especially new group content. However, I would much prefer one new planet with a ton of new things to do, (quests, dungeons, new enemies, pois and badges; and some secrets here and there) as opposed to multiple new planets with very little new things to do.

As far as ideas for Creature Handler changes go, I have some suggestions. I've uploaded them here: http://i.imgur.com/bjABfFr.png to avoid crowding up this post/making it too long.

I voted for Class revamp and my preference is BH (shocker I know). Here is what I would like to see:

1) Far and away the most important is the return of the melee hunter. A few things that would go a long way to accomplishing this is providing decent dps to melee builds v Jedi. Whether through the addition of weapons like the blasterfist, or some other oddball damage-type this will help.

2) Forcerun should break on any damage.

3) Remove the MBH requirement from jedi-specific traps. This is our main problem with skill points. Too many points are relegated to gaining MBH. Move the certification to Invest 3 at a minimum, and remove the extra 4 boxes of required scout skills. Allowing this will create diversity within the class.

4) Boost commando weapons for use against Jedi, again this provides diversity. Killing Jedi with flamers and launcher pistols is about as iconic as you can get and gives us a reason to build iconic templates like commando/MBH.

5) Relax the drop rates on Mando liquids. I know its hard mode here, but Mando is rare enough its almost non existent. I know of 2 confirmed sets on this server. 1 belongs to a guy who doesnt play anymore and the other to a guy who doesnt hunt and I dont believe ever did.

6) More jedi to hunt. Whether that means turning the visibility setting to "wide open", or dialing back the perma-overt status to kick on at a point earlier in their template grind, something needs to happen. When only a jedi or two a week is termed, ya gotta throw us a bone.


I am sure I will think of other preferences but those are the most glaring additions in my mind.

On a server I used to play on they had warning shot ( I believe it was that) would remove force run, and then the Jedi could re activate, it was fairly balanced this way, they used more force, and we had a way to stop trackstars, if they keep popping it to Usain Bolt across the planet then they burn more force and we keep turning it off etc

I think it's better than FR breaking on any dmg

Ohh its like Santa is on his way :P

New planets, lots and lots more high end game mobs, class updates (read balance) to melee proffs, some sort of stimulus/incentive to get GCW going and dial back on the BH tweeks a tad to make more Jedi want to play Jedi !!

Oh and some more weps added like a stun dmg pike !!, another Dmg type of VK etc

but i'm easy and will settle for whatever you guys provide us :)

I voted for Class revamps. However, new planets would be cool, along with some new end game PvE.

Now for my class things:

Ranger--Being able to search for the Fat, med, and skinny spots, similar to the way that surveyors search for concentrations.

Carbineer-- You cannot speed cap without taking BH. This should not be the case. Adding 5 speed to each of the speed boxes in Carbineer would fix this. Even with +25 in SEA's you cannot cap without BH. even +15 more total would be fine.

Creature Handler--This is the master list of things we would like to see for CH. I copied it from there as to save myself from typing. viewtopic.php?f=61&t=7578

I feel that the CH Profession needs some loving. Xihpos had asked in another post that we consolidate changes we would like to see into one post so that we can post it in the suggestion area.

Please reply to this post with what changes you would like to see. Please be descriptive, but somewhat brief as well. Please do not comment on other suggestions, as I would like to be able to easily read the replies and create the list.

I also think it would be best if we limit it to 10 changes we would like to see at first, that way the request is reasonable would have a better chance at getting implemented. I will continue to update the list in this thread for a 2 week period. Once that 2 weeks is up, I will create another thread, and if possible ask Xiphos and the others if there is a way to create a poll. If not, I will figure some way out for us to vote, and after 1 week, the top 10 items with the most votes will be sent as a formal suggestion in the Suggestions section of the forums.

I would like to thank the whole CH community ahead of time for their participation in this project to make CH a more viable and entertaining profession!

1) SEA functionality--i.e. additional pets, stored pets, etc. I am not sure that the additional pets would function in any meaningful way since the pet levels are limited to a total of 70. Unless the additional pets modifier was supposed to be for more pet levels. If that is the case, then it would be more meaningful.
2) Pet "taunt" ability. It would be really nice to have a tank pet who could taunt off of the player. Pet taunt ability, or modify enrage pets to work as a pet taunt.
3) Calling pets in combat/instantaneous
4) Pets need to be able to hold agro longer, right now they loose agro quickly.
5) Level restriction on having multiple pets out raised, or removed.
6) Raise the damage on level 50+/high-end pets. Maybe (if they don't already have it) give them light armor piercing, (or medium armor piercing if light doesn't make much of a difference) as well.
7) Adjusted/improved stats for the rare pets such as improved damage, to-hit, HAM, and resists, light/medium armor penetration.
8.) New pets to tame that currently don't spawn babies in the wild. Seeing Kimogilas get a stat adjustment/buff and a rare chance at spawning a baby would be great, especially since Bio-engineered Kimogilas aren't very good at the moment. Bring back previously "extinct" pets(aka Plains Hunter). Creatures with Medium armor being tameable. Raising/Eliminating Max LvL of pets, could increase the amount of new tameable creatures.
9) Embolden pets buff to last for the whole 5 minute cooldown instead of just 1 minute, or lower the cooldown on embolden pets to 1 minute.
10) See upcoming pet attacks in the que.
11) Mask scent being more effective at max skill. In the original game I used to wander into aggro groups to steal babies all the time, and for a BE trying to sample DNA, it's essential to have it not break so readily.
12)Animal skins rendered properly, tamed 2 crimson razor cats and once pulled out of my datapad they lost their crimson color.
13) Make sure all creatures currently listed in SWG Creatures actually have a chance to spawn somewhere at sometime.
14) Ranged pet stims and reduce stim reduced cooldowns (perhaps half). The current cooldowns make pet stims very difficult to use.
15) Different damage types for some pets...who wouldn't like an acid spitting durni?
16) Pet Armor
17) Heavily boosted pet storage capacity...Absolutely the most important to me considering the 100s of tamable creatures out there. I Would love to see it doubled at every level including 4 pets (still lvl 10 though) for Non-CH. Maybe even an extra boost for MCH.

i picked gcw even though i dont pvp..figured something that would maybe get more people to move to this server over others.

a vendor/item sort

im sure there are things that need to be fixed so why add a new planet/mobs/other content not in original game prior to the original being 100%

I would vote other i think actually...take away the 10 toon option..i wonder what people would choose
